Ales are Fullers of Chiswick and occasionally offerings by newly acquired Gales. The standard of the beer's condition is exceptional and unsurpassed by any other in South Buckinghamshire.
The pub is both busy and popular, but it is not usually difficult to find a quiet corner if you wish to. On warm days and evenings there is a small courtyard garden protected from the wind, which is a very pleasant discovery.
The staff are both attentive and polite and food arrives at the table within very acceptable times. There are bigger pubs in Buckinghamshire, there are many dearer places to eat, but there are few if any places that tick so many boxes.
